Curtains and Blinds

From our Ab Fab studio we make curtains, blinds, pelmets, bed valances and comforters, cushions and other soft furnishings. There are many options to choose from, and we are happy to help you decide. Curtains:

Let us help you with your curtain design. There are many different styles of heading for you to choose from such as eyelets, pinch pleats (triple, double or informal), tab tops or taped (for curtain tracks). You can also choose your curtain length, would you like them to puddle, skim the floor or be sill length? 

​

Curtains can be lined with standard lining or black-out lining, and can have interlining added to create a fuller look and add insulation if needed, alternatively thermal lining is also available. 

​

You can add a trim to the edge of your curtains to create more interest; there are many complementary trims and braids available. In addition maybe you would like a pelmet or valance which would frame your curtains? This can look very elegant in a matching or complementary fabric. We hand-make pelmets and valances to your exact requirements.

We can also supply you with a pole or track. We can supply poles and tracks that are custom made to fit awkward spaces like bay windows or apex windows. We have a wide variety of wooden, metal, tracked or forged iron poles to suit any window. Our poles come in a range of colours and finishes and with finials to match.

Blinds:

We make Roman Blinds and London Blinds to your exact requirements. We can also supply roller blinds from a selection of fabrics and colours or in your own choice of fabric (when suitable). Our sheer roller blinds are popular for people who would like a modern alternative to a net curtain which provides a degree of privacy.

We supply and fit wooden or faux wooden venetian blinds which provide a modern fresh look and can be a great alternative to shutters.

​

We also supply and fit headrails for blinds which meet all necessary industry standards regarding health and safety. 

​

Bedding: 

Bed valances, covers, comforters and cushions can be made to co-ordinate with the decor of your room.

Cushions:

Any shape or size of cushion can be produced in your choice of fabrics.

Alterations:

We provide an alteration service for curtains should you require it. This includes shortening curtains or changing the style of heading to a curtain. We can also reuse curtain fabric to make blinds if desired or change blinds from Austrian to Roman if needed. We will always try to offer a solution for you wherever possible.
